For as long as I can remember, nachos have been one of my favorite meals. I would make them as an after-school snack for days on end, and would never get tired of them. Like ever. And today, I thought to share my recipe for nachos with the world.
A quick disclaimer that the toppings I put on my nachos are purely my preference, and that you can put anything you want on yours. A few toppings that I sometimes include but didn’t have available are: black beans, any type of meat, and sour cream. Feel free to try these out with this recipe if you have them available!
- Cheddar cheese
- Jalapeno peppers
- Tortilla chips
Take a small metal tray made to fit in your toaster oven, and cover it with put a piece of foil. Then lay your tortilla chips out on the foil. Next, take a plate grate as much cheddar cheese as you would like. Once finished grating, sprinkle the cheese evenly over your tortilla chips. After you evenly distributed the cheese, feel free to pop the tray in the toaster oven for about 3 minutes, or until you see that the cheese has melted completely. When your nacho base is complete, now is the time to add on any toppings. I chopped up one jalapeno pepper and a chive, and then scattered it over the nachos. Lastly, pour a salsa of your choice into a small bowl, and you’re done!
I hope you enjoy this recipe, and I encourage you to add as many toppings as you like. 🙂
