My family and I are smoothie lovers, and that’s a fact. So when my sister came to me and asked if we could make a smoothie together, of course I said yes. My mom is usually the one who comes up with the combination of ingredients, so I was a little clueless where to start. But luckily my sister had it all thought out. For starters, she knew she absolutely wanted to include chocolate chips. At first I thought it was a little odd, but I’m never against using chocolate chips, so we gave it a try.
The ingredients we ended up using were:
- 4 handfuls of ice cubes
- 1 white peach
- 2 handfuls of chocolate chips
- A handful of raspberries
- A few mint leaves
- 2 teaspoons of sugar
- 1 cup of Simply’s Blueberry Lemonade
First, get your ice cubes and put them in a blender. Chop up your white peach into small pieces, and add them to the mix as well. Next, incorporate all other ingredients. Once all ingredients are in the blender, use the “Frozen Drink” setting and wait until the ingredients are evenly distributed and the drink is fully blended. Lastly, pour the finished drink into some cups and serve to family or friends! (Serves 4)
This smoothie is so delicious and refreshing, both my sister and I could not stop drinking it! The chocolate pieces really gave the drink a unique flavor, and I’m so glad my sister suggested it. One thing I would do differently next time is swap out the blueberry lemonade for some classic lemonade. Or even some peach or raspberry lemonade so that it compliments the other ingredients. Overall though, I really think this is the perfect summer smoothie. It’s sweet and fun, and has a cool twist to it that all will enjoy.
