The Cheesecake Factory has always been a restaurant that is a staple in my family’s diet. We usually have a specific slew of foods that we like to buy from there when we eat there all together. But just last week after I finished my finals, my mom and I decided to go for a mother-daughter lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. But this time, we didn’t order our typical meals. This time, I tried the Spicy Chicken Chipotle Pasta as my main meal, and had the Passion Mint Fizz as my drink.
The Spicy Chicken Chipotle Pasta consists of “penne pasta, honey glazed chicken, asparagus, red and yellow peppers, peas, garlic and onion in a spicy chipotle parmesan cream sauce”, except I ordered it without peas and peppers. To be honest, I really enjoyed this. I think the sauce was definitely very creative and delicious, and paired nicely with everything else in the dish. The only thing I would change about this dish was the coverage the sauce had. I found that the penne and the chicken could’ve been covered better with the sauce, but perhaps it’s just personal preference. Additionally, I would like to note that the presentation of this dish was great. The garnish as well as the crunchy straws on top really made this dish eye-catching.
The Passion Mint Fizz incorporates passion fruit, agave, fresh mint, and soda all into one drink. This drink was cool and refreshing, while also sweet and tasty. Once again, the combination of the passion fruit and agave made for a really interesting and exotic flavor – one that I would definitely recommend.
Over the years, I’ve noticed that the Cheesecake Factory has never really played it safe when it comes to flavors. They’ve always taken risks, and have been open to creating unique flavors with interesting combinations of ingredients. This is something that I admire them for, and I something I think other restaurants could learn from as well.
